Visiting Fall River

Whether you are coming for the hour, the day, or the week, Fall River, Massachusetts is not to be missed on your sojourn into New England. It is not that it is a beautiful city, or that it is full of things to do. It is that Fall River is a place where you can get great kale soup and chourico pizza, shop at the factory outlets, visit a large beautiful cemetery, explore a few haunts, and enjoy some rich small town ethnic diversity.

Fall River is the "We'll Try" city. Named so after a great conflagration in the nineteenth century compelled the citizens to rebuild and make it better. Today, the motto seems a little limp, to say the least, but its intentions were positive and hopeful.

Fall River is located 15 miles from Providence and Newport, RI, and 55 miles or so from Boston. It is only 35 miles from Cape Cod. Now if only there was a train to connect all these points together!
